LADYSMITH RESOURCE CENTRE

Located on a sloped site overlooking the town, this 10 000sf 2-storey facility provides a new home for the local seniors' centre, family resource centre, and food bank. Massing and materials were carefully studied to properly integrate the building into the neighbourhood. The LEED NC-Gold-certified design fosters community interaction through shared entrances, and features an abundance of natural light and views. Street-scape improvements, a new civic square, and a market lane complete the development.
