MILLSTONE WATERFRONT
Comprehensive Redevelopment Urban Design Plan

An urban design plan for a 7.21-acre site at the north-west edge of downtown, at the mouth of the Millstone River, on the Strait of Georgia, and adjacent to a large waterfront park. This plan envisions a mixed-use, multi-building neighbourhood that will complete the northern edge of downtown. The plan provides connection to, and restoration of, the natural water’s edge, and links the public pathway from the park to the existing Mill Street neighbourhood.  The project envisions up to 600 new residences, a 140-room hotel, 7500 square feet of commercial / retail space, and a new 0.3 acre park. It will have an urban form of mid-rise buildings and townhouses, while the hotel and two high-rise towers are intended as a gateway landmark to downtown from the north.
