This project is a municipal administration building, also housing a RCMP (police) satellite office and the local library. The architecture is intended to represent the stature and community pride of this fast growing town located in a historic semi-rural area near Victoria. The two storey structure overlooks Portage Park, a forested area that extends to the shore of a harbour. The project anticipates a future civic precinct that, when built, will include expanded public facilities. The Town Hall’s design included the development of an appropriate image in a residential context and within a restricted wood frame budget.
