Part of the designated parkland in the urban design of a 25-acre comprehensive plan. Adjacent to a regional greenway trail, the area includes open land, remnants of concrete foundations, heavy machinery footings, and concrete slabs of the now-demolished industrial buildings. Crushed stone, concrete pavers, and grassed areas are arranged throughout the site, and the remnants of its former structures and purposes are interlaced with a variety of new public spaces and vegetation. The floor of a former saw-sharpening shop is retained as a stage-like platform overlooking a large rock outcrop, and a giant concrete chessboard lies in view of a ramp foundation that is now used as raked seating. A millennium time capsule prepared by 164 local children is buried beneath the chessboard.
